Basically AVL

This workshop is designed for new AVL weavers or for weavers who want to better learn the systems on their AVL looms.

Taught by qualified AVL staff, the course will guide you through the design rationale for each system on the loom and will provide special training in its use and maintenance. Emphasis will be given to sectional warping technique (with both Tension Box and Warping Wheel ), flyshuttle weaving, and use of the Compu-Dobby®. You will also have an opportunity to evaluate different software packages (Weave Point and Weave Maker). A pre-class questionnaire will allow us to customize our instruction to your particular needs.

Skill Level: Beginner to intermediate. A good opportunity to evaluate AVL products if you are considering a purchase. It is helpful to know basic drafting, but that is also briefly covered.
