These exceptionally crafted shuttles are manufactured to our design. Equipped with superior Honex-style adjustable tensioners, they are some of the most durable and functional shuttles available to hand weavers today. Fixed end-feed bobbins, combined with adjustable tensioning, produce cleaner selvages and virtually eliminate any need to lay-in weft shots (and you’ll have none of the aggravation and fouling that you sometimes get with spinning bobbins). You save time and frustration and you weave a better product. AVL Handshuttles are comfortably shaped at the ends, and our Flyshuttles are fitted with polished steel tips, so they’re much better at dividing a warp, making them faster through the shed and less likely to derail or break ends
