Where consistency of weft spacing is important, the AVL Auto Advance is a MUST! No matter how you beat, with an Automatic Cloth Advance System, the weft spacing will always be the same...exactly the same. And the cloth marches forward one pick at a time. No more foot brakes, no more advancing levers…just evenly spaced weaving.

In early 2002, though, the current set of AVL engineers improved upon this venerable system by adapting the Automatic Cloth Advance System that had been used on our Industrial Dobby looms since the early 1990s. Through the use of a slide rod and modern clutch bearing, the current system is much easier to use and far more adjustable, providing pickages from 8 pick per inch up to 120 picks per inch.
