State of Grace: The Use of Art To Overcome Adversity Through Creativity

Textile artist Rebecca Bluestone took time out of her busy schedule during the week of February 25th to visit us here at AVL Looms. AVL was contacted by the university’s Outreach Coordinator, Dan Goodsell, to provide what appears to be one of the only weaving related activities on her calendar. We were so pleased to have the opportunity to meet Rebecca and introduce her to our new Jacq3G™ jacquard loom. This remarkable loom is an exciting step forward that, for the first time, puts Jacquard weaving within the financial reach of most hand weavers.

Rebecca teamed up with her husband, Classical guitarist Robert Bluestone, for a performance at Laxson Auditorium in Chico California. The evening featured Robert's classical guitar music and showcased Rebecca's hand-woven tapestries.
