Jacquard Woven by Sandra Rude
Over the holidays, I received a special gift from one of my favorite weavers. Sandra Rude wove this beautiful image of my daughters. What a delightful surprise!

Sandra originally Photoshopped the photo so we could weave it at Convergence - Alburquerque. And in fact we did several times over. Unfortunately, so many people hoping on and off the loom did not result in any really nice pieces. So, it was a big surprise to receive Sandra's much higher quality artistry.
Sandra wove this piece on her Jacq3G loom. At the time, it had 960 hooks. She has since added 480 hooks for a total of 1,440 hooks. Sandra and her husband Mike have been instrumental in the development of the Jacq3G. Their expertise gave us what I like to call "the production handweaver's perspective". This very thorough testing of the Jacq3G provided invaluable feedback and help in making the Jacq3G what it is today. You can read more about Sandra's work on her blog.
Thank you with all my heart.
